Fish River Canyon

Fish River Canyon is the second largest canyon in the world, only the Grand Canyon in the United States of America is larger.
But the difference between Fish River Canyon and the Grand Canyon is that the Fish River has not yet been discovered by tourists, at least not like the Grand Canyon. You won't find lots of tourists, accommodation, etc.

With a guide you can descent in to the canyon, but be prepared that such a trail will take you at least a couple of day's.
When you descent in to the canyon, you will need to keep an eye on the weather, when rain falls miles up river, the water level can climb rapidly.

Accommodation
There are a few lodges available near Fish River Canyon, they are all situated at the roads that are going towards Fish River Canyon. In the tourist season, some of these lodges are popular and fully booked way in advance.
