Cape Cross
Around 1486, Digo Cao from Portugal discovered Cape Cross. Because the terrain was so desolated, nothing could be done, except fishing. Before he left Cape Cross, he has built a large cross in memory of John II of Portugal.
Nowaday's, the terrain around Cape Cross is still as desolated as it was centuries ago. The only thing that can be found near Cape Cross are thousands of fish, for that same reason you can find a large seal colony at Cape Cross. Speculations show that there are probably more than 100.000 seals.
Male seals have an average weight between 190 and 360 kg and are in company of sometims 25 female seals.
