Shopping in London
London is a great city to go shopping. London has a big variety of shops: expensive and low budget. London is known for the expensive shoppingmalls like Harrods.
City centre
Around Piccadilly Circus are some of the best streets to explore if you like shopping: Piccadilly, Regent Street, Jermyn Street, Haymarket, New Bond Street (extremely expensive shops) and Carnaby Street. These streets offer everything you want as a shop explorer, for example this is the place where you can find the largest bookstore in Europe.
A little bit further away from the city centre, you can find Oxford Street. Oxford Street is known for its large variety of shops and of course for Selfridges (the cheaper oppenent of Harrods).
On the otherside of Piccadilly Circus you can find Covent Garden. Govent Garden is a very relaxed shopping place where you can explore the small boutique's.
Outsite the city centre
There are many excellent places to go outside the city centre if you like shopping. Some of these places attract less tourists than the city centre.
Examples are: Nottinghill, Camden, Knightsbridge (where you can find Harrods), but also in the Docklands (Canary Warf) you can find excellent shops.
Openingtimes
Almost all shops in the city centre are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. Some of the shops around Piccadilly Circus will stay open longer, mostly these shops are the mega-stores.
Except for some of the public holidays, but this defer per shop and area.
Outsite the city centre most shops are closed on Sunday, but use the same openingtimes as the city centre.

Tip 1
If you want to shop in London, you can spend day's without you getting bored. But London has one huge disadvantage: it is one of the most expensive cities in Europe. For that reason, you should not only focus on the famous shopping streets, but explore the sidestreets and cheaper shops.
Tip 2
London is the perfect place to go if you want to experience a real musical. One disadvantage is that more people have this same idea, some of the musicals are fully booked way in advance. But you could always try to go to the TKTS desk at Leicester Square where they sell last minute musical tickets, for almost all musicals in London.
Be early, otherwhise there will be a large que.
