Table Mountain

It is said that cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities of the world, most likely this is also caused by the magnificent mountain, rising high above the city.

Table Mountain is 1068 meters high at it's highest point, and 3 kilometers long. At the top of Table Mountain, you have a magnificent view of Cape Town and on the other side of the mountain the Cape of Good Hope.

The easiest way to reach the top of Table Mountain is to take the cableway, in just a few minutes the cableway will bring you to the highest point of the mountain.
On hot summer days, it is likely there will be a long queue, but it's more than worth to wait a few hours, it's is trully magnificent to reach the top and walk around Table Mountain and admire the sights from the different viewpoints.

If you don't want to take the cableway, you can also hike all the way to the top. The easiest hikes will take you a few hours. When you are going to walk yourself all the way to the top, take precautions for the weather: the weather in Cape Town can change rapidly, don't be suprised when on a hot day, the temperature drops and and winds will blow all around Table Mountain.
Tell the hotel reception that you are going to walk to the top of Table Mountain, if something happens, at least they know where you went.
