The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are the perfect place to go if you want to escape the hectic life of the city.
On hot summer days, the Gardens are the perfect place for a picknick, or to admire one of the Sunday afternoon concerts.
Walking through the Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens give you a great look at the Table Mountain, but also a beautiful look at the different flora and fauna within the Gardens acre's, in total 528, of which 36 are open for the public.
Cecil John Rhodes was the first one to start the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, when he died, he left the gardens open for public.
The best time to visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is during the spring or the autumn, the flora and fauna is at it's best and there are not so many visitors.
