Casa Milà
Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera is a building designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí. It is located in the district Eixample in the center of Barcelona on the corner of 92, Passeig de Gràcia.
However you don't see it from the outsite, Casa Milà is 1000 square meters large. For example, Casa Milà contains two court yards. But most remarkable is the design. Antoni Gaudí made it, so it looks like a giant sand-dune or cave-like dwellings. The wavy facade, with its large pores, reminds one also of an undulating beach of fine sand. For example you will not see a corner in the facade, everything is shaped with waves and round objects.
Casa Milà is one of Barcelona's World Heritage sites of UNESCO.
You can visit one of the appartment on the top floor and have a view from the rooftop. There is also a small museum in Casa Milà, where you don't have to pay an entrance fee.
