Camp Nou

Camp Nou is the home stadium of FC Barcelona and is one of the biggest stadiums in the world. Camp Nou is not the official name, but hte most used. Officially the stadium is named: 'Nou Estadi del Futbol Club Barcelona'. Camp Nou or Nou Camp translated from Catalan to English, it means New Field.

The stadium was built in 1957. The capacity has varied between 93,053 at its opening to 120,000 for the 1982 FIFA World Cup. But the average capacit is around 99.000 (standing positions has been outlawed by the government).
In 2007 the stadium will be remodelled, and more seats will be included, with a total capacity of just under 120.000.

Camp Nou is one of the major tourist attractions in Barcelona, atleast if you like footbal. You can also find a museum inside the stadium, where you can see historical facts of both the stadium and FC Barcelona. This museum is one of the most visited museums in Barcelona.

Keep in mind that Camp Nou is one of the major tourist attractions, so you won't be lonlely.
