Arc de Triomf

The Arc de Triomf (Triumphal Arch) was built in 1888 as the gate way for the Universal Exhibition.
The Arc de Triomf was designed by the architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas.
During the times of the Universal Exhibtion, the Arc de Triomf was first built in Parc la Ciutadella, at the moment the Arc de Triomf can be found just outsite (west) of the park.

The top of the arch is decorated with the Barcelona coat of arms as well as a representation of all 49 other Spanish provinces.
