Climate information

Barcelona is right next to the Mediterranean Sea, so you will always have nice weather in Barcelona. During summer and winter times, the temperatures in Barcelona will be slightly higher than a few miles inland.

The period with the highest temperatures, is obviously the summer (July and August). In these months the temperatures will often reach 30 degrees celcius and beyond. Even the nights are hot, with temperatures above the 20's. Many of the locals escape from the heat and go for their holiday.

The period with the lowest temperatures is the winter. The average temperature will go down to a pleasant 10 degrees celcius.

Because of the high temperatures, Barcelona doesn't have really rainy day's. At the end of the summer Barcelona often gets short but intens rainingshowers.
If you want to go to Barcelona, the best time to go is in the autumn or the spring. The temperatures are not to extreme, and rainfall is not likely.
